The major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Administers the Special Park Uses and Commercial Services programs for the park, playing a lead role in development and management of business agreements for the park including permits, park concessions, leasing and commercial use authorizations, etc. Works with the Washington Office, Regional Office, and Park Staff leading project teams to issue and manage new concession contracts and leases. Coordinates work with senior park staff on politically sensitive, complex, significant long-term park management issues that span across-divisional boundaries and frequently involve regional and national interests related to historical grazing leases and associated residential special use permits. Coordinates real estate appraisals for leasing activities and documents the corresponding determination of permit fees. Receives special park and commercial use requests, evaluates their appropriateness for use of National Park Service lands, negotiates conditions for use, and generates appropriate compliance and permitting documents for approval by the Superintendent or designee. Facilitates solution oriented agreements on multi-dimensional concessions and leasing issues, provides technical advice and expertise on financial and operational business and concessions issues, regulations, and laws to regional staff, park staff, and concessionaires. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-06/09/2020-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect either full-time or 40 hours per week. If a part-time work schedule is reflected, the hours must be annotated to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as:
developing special use permits or commercial use authorizations for activities on federally-owned/managed lands; developing requests for proposals for leasing opportunities and appraisal services; coordinating commercial services and concessions activities on federally-owned/managed lands; serving as a project manager including leading diverse project teams for recreation based or land management projects on federally-owned/managed lands; and providing operational and financial technical assistance for commercial service operations. Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
